1 : Logging In

2 : Updating General Settings

FAQ:

  • Where do I go to update my user account details?

    • Click on your property name on the top right hand corner and select 'My Account'​ to update your user details

  • It keeps giving me errors when creating a user?

    • Make sure that the username and email address is unique to that user. It is also possible that another property somewhere else is using the username that you are wanting to create so make sure that even the username is distinct to your own property.

  • Can I view User logs?​

    • User logs are unfortunately not available for even property admin users to see. Please log a request with our support team if you wish to see user logs or changes based on a particular incident.​

  • Do you have a User Guide for us to read?​

    • Our Online Help pages (accessible from within the property name menu list) has an updated database of useful articles and videos for you to view​ which also highlights any new features or upcoming updates to the system.

3 : The Dashboard

  • Can I customize my dashboard page?

    • Unfortunately the dashboard view is not customizable but please let us know of your feedback if you feel that you need more/different information to be displayed

4 : Inventory Grid

FAQ:

  • Do I Enter Nett rates (inclusive rates) or Gross (++) rates into my Inventory Grid?

    • The logic behind the Channel Manager is to replace the need for you to login to your individual channel extranets and update your rates there. As such, if your channel extranet requires you to enter Nett rates then that is what you need to enter/setup in your channel manager for that channel. Our recommendation is to enter what most of your channels use and any adjustments will need to done on a channel by channel basis if there are differences using the derived settings or the channel multiplier (See 7 : Channels).

  • I don't see my channel rate in the inventory grid for any of the room rates?​

    • It is likely that you may not have mapped it yet.​

5 : Room & Rate Setup

FAQ:

  • To add a room and/or a package, do I just need to create it in my channel manager?​

    • Creating a â€‹room/package in your channel manager DOES NOT create the room/package on your channel extranet. You will need to create the instance of that room/package in your respective channels before mapping them together.

6 : Reservations

FAQ:

  • I can't see the unlock button to see my credit card details?​

    • You probably do not have the appropriate level of access to see the Credit Card Information, please contact the administrator that created your user for you so that they can add the appropriate permission.

  • The Credit Card details are missing?​

    • This means either 1 of 2 possibilities, either (1) the channel did not provide us with credit card details or (2) it has gone past 7 days after the scheduled check out date for the reservation where we actually remove the information permanently from our database. Please see your channel extranet or contact your channel representative if it is the first (1st) scenario.

  • I can't find the reservations I received prior to going live with the channel manager?​

    • The channel manager can only display reservations that it receives. Any past reservations (prior to going live) or any reservations that were not made through any of the listed channels in your channel manager will of course not be available.​

7 : Channels

FAQ:

  • I can't see the channel(s) I want to add in the 'Connect New Channel' list ?

    • The general rule of thumb is that if it's not available on the â€‹list then we currently are unable to connect to that channel. We do add-on new channels for you to connect to fairly regularly so keep checking back to see if it is listed.
